ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Stoop Kids is the studio-experimentation of Griffin Dean, which is then transformed into a New Orleans-based five-piece band for live shows. The energy and funkiness in their live show is juxtaposed with the chill-heartfelt-grooviness in their recordings. Same songs but different styles to create an array of emotions solely unique to Stoop Kids. Founded in 2012, the band’s official genre is “Doo Hop,” a combination of Doo Wop and Hip Hop. Sampled beats, layered harmonies, groovy bass lines, and high falsetto are their bread and butter.

Reviews:
"Rat Pack of the rap game" (SiteOfSound)
"Their style is something that isn’t common in hip hop today...incorporating elements of a multitude of genres creating a sound that is unique to them." (DeadEndHipHop)
