Two Tone Tornado

by Strangefates

Critically acclaimed: UK Band Strangefates originally released this fine album under the band name The Molecules. Influences of Zappa, Jeff Buckley and Hawkwind can clearly be noticed here alongside their continuing obsession with Krautrock.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album was originally released in 2000 (under the band name The Molecules), with heavy influences of Zappa, Jeff Buckley, Hawkwind, and Krautrock providing a wide range of styles from heavy rock to electronic instrumental tracks. Recordings were made in both Chester and Sheffield UK with the Szczerba brothers teaming up with Drummer And.D from Dave's alter-ego band Bouski.

The band had recently invested in a Tech 21Sansamp pedal, and so layers of rich overdrive are clearly evident, alongside acoustic and ambient sounds to make up a fine set of dynamic and chilled melodic instrumentals (Although the band continued to credit their singer Johnny Nightingale as 'Silent Vocalist' - there is still some dispute as to whether he was present at the sessions)

All tracks were recorded directly onto and mastered through the Fostex VF16 digital recorder.
Band Line-up:

Dave Szczerba : Guitars, Effects, Mistakes, Production
Rob Szczerba : Guitar, Effect knob, Bass
And.D : Roland V - Drums
Johnny Nightingale: Silent Vocals
