Album Notes
Eyes Closed is a collection of chill-out / ambient / downtempo works composed between 2004-2006 by Australian electronica artist Stray Theories.
There is a strong focus on minimal electronica, keeping the sounds non-intrusive, fusing deep melodic electronica to create musical stories that take you on a journey.

Brian Eno described ambient music as music that "can actively be listened to with attention or as easily ignored, depending on the choice of the listener and that exists on the cusp between melody and texture, creating an atmosphere that puts the listener into a different state of mind"
This description is very much the focus of Stray Theories, providing emotive, deep atmospheric soundscapes..layered with strong melodies, that give a space for the listener to go on there own journey.

an auditory journey
This album hits an emotional chord that takes me to a brighter and more mystical reality than we often fail to see. I find it relaxing but not to boring, and it locks my mind on the creative side of things, and seems to give me the inspiration to reach beyond the mundane through my writing. MOreover, I can feel stories formed within each song, the emotions behind the rhythms and trance are clearly expressed. INterpretation on each song will vary from listener to listener, however. This is a great CD to have in your collection.

Micah Wolfe produces some of the finest ambient electronic music you will hear. With a strong sense of melody and rhythm, he creates musical stories that are sure to evoke memories of places and times past. Sometimes mournful, but always with a sense of beauty and hope. This latest release is more upbeat, with a slightly more contemporary urban feel and beat. The instrumentation and performances are outstanding, as is the overall production quality.
