Album Notes
" The Streetkidz were the brainchild of Kevin Martin (Cuzin Kevin) and formed in 1978 in Brooklyn , N.Y..

The Streetkidz were originally a power trio with Cuzin Kevin writing/producing playing guitar and doing vocals, Fred Penny (Freakin Freddy) on bass & vocals and his brother Dennis Penny (Menacing Dennis) on drums.

After auditioning numerous lead guitar players they finally settled on Elvin Cartagena (BC Elvin) on lead guitar transforming the power trio into a four piece band.

After a couple of years playing the clubs in the N.Y. area such as CBGB'S, MAX'S KANSAS CITY, GREAT GILDERSLEEVES, FEBRUARY'S and regular weekend house band at a number of N.Y. area clubs The Streetkidz broke up then , only to have a renewed interest in their music occur now, so this CD of demos and works in progress has been put together for all the fans that asked for it..Who knows there might even be a reunion in the works for the summer of 08 and another CD release..It will be posted here when arrangements have been worked out for a reunion..

The music they produced is as good today as the day it was recorded and just as relevant ..TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT ! "

Cuzin Kevin leading the rest of “ The Streetkidz ”
Cuzin Kevin has put together a powerful sounding set of songs with a biting driving beat played with excellence by Bassist Fred Penny and Drummer Dennis Penny the band punches the limits of their style.

Lead guitarist Elvin Cartagena plays with great mastery incredible riffs sounding uniquely like only the cream of the crop. Cuzin Kevin delivers the songs with intensity and with cool abandon is both serious and playful with the choice of material. I have seen this band live at CBGB’S and witnessed a great performance.

Keep on rocking “ The Streetkidz”

Back To The Future
Having been a member of this band I still get excited everytime I hear these songs. It makes me see how innovative we were as a band. The more I listen, the more I realize we were doing Speed Metal & Grunge before these genres existed.

Kevin & Ed....My hat's off to you both on this album release. Great work.

I Remember Max's
