Album Notes
Manuel Gutiérrez, piano.
Xacobe Martínez Antelo, double bass.
L.A.R. Legido, drums.

Sumrrá borns in the summer of 2001, as an outcome of a succession of meetings between the three members in several jam sessions. From day one, a natural way of joining, creating and playing appears, so it would be fair to say that Sumrrá borns from chance, spontaneity, caprice...Sumrrá borns free, and remains free. It was also a matter of chance to be christened as Sumrrá and not any other way. Sumrrá could be Manuel Gutiérrez Trio, Xacobe Martínez Grupo or Luis Alberto Rodríguez Project, but it is Sumrrá: belonging to everyone and no one.
This is the debut album that Sumrrá puts in the marketin 2003. In 2006, their second work came out: “2”. Sumrrá works basically with original material, which implies that the band is inmersed in a constant feedback creation process: from composition to performance, from this to that, from recording to live performance. Oftentimes, you have only to see how things grown by itself, without any necessary interference. Now Sumrrá gives you the chance to see how things work in a live show, and with seven new compositions: "3aoVivo"

Sumrrá are Manuel Gutiérrez, piano, Xacobe Martínez, bass and L.A.R. Legido, drums.
