Susan Anthony-Tolbert is a professional harper/harpist in the Chesapeake area of Maryland, as well as throughout the Northern Neck and Tidewater Areas of Virginia. Recordings of her performances on harp and marimba have been played and well received on Radio Vermont. In addition, Susan has played recitals and concerts at many historic venues throughout Virginia and Maryland. These include: Stratford Hall, the Mary Ball Museum and Library in Lancaster, Virginia, the Northumberland County Historical Society, Sotterly in Maryland, Hughlett’s Tavern/Rice’s Hotel in Heathsville, Virginia and Christ Church in Weems, Virginia. CDs of previous recordings have sold well throughout the area and nationwide. Original compositions as well as transcriptions of baroque music published by Singing Cat and Mule Publishers have been distributed throughout the U.S. as well as abroad.
Susan lives on Dun-it Farm with her husband who maintains this beautiful setting as well as the Alice Garden and the Graloria-M Garden where Susan often performs and records. Together they share the love and companionship of horses, a mule, a dog and several cats.
