Album Notes
SWAMPDAWAMP was formed in the Spring of 2006 when singer/songwriter Gig Michaels, guitarist Marty Hill, and drummer David Lee recorded a slate of new songs in their recording studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. After mixing and mastering the demo disc, Michaels sent it to producer Joe Boyland, who immediately agreed to produce the band.
While recording songs at Seventeen Grand Studios, The band added B3 and piano player Duke Rivers. A little later, Robbie Hegler became the new bass player and guitarist Michael Hough completed the band.

A strong and classic first album
I absolutely love this CD! It is great southern rock that channels the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Black Crowes and The Allman Brothers. The sound is laid back and rocking at the same time, especially my favorite track, Backporch. This makes me want to pop the album in my car’s CD player and road trip my way down south for a BBQ and music festival. And if I’m really lucky, maybe Swampdawamp will be headlining. A+

This album rocks!
Swampdawamp is guitar-driven southern rock. Listening to it is like being at the party, having a good time with all the rowdy friends. I am instantly reminded of great southern rock icons like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Seger, and Procol Harem. Key songs for me are "I'm Feelin' Saturday," and "Sometimes." Swampdawamp is new rock-n-roll at its BEST!

I'm Hooked!
This CD is one of the best I've heard in quite some time. Not only is the sound awesome but Gig is a great song writer and knows how to reach his listeners. I had the pleasure of seeing these guys play and will be a fan forever.

It doesn't get more classic rock than this. Joy!
Thanks Swampdawamp for a monster of a debut release! I'm a big fan of southern rock, and honestly haven't heard something this true to the sound in, well, decades. Most of all I love Gig Michael's gruff, bearlike vocals, which if nothing else serves as a reminder that these are not kids - they are the real thing. You can hear their roots in the music.
Favorite track? Birthday. The song is so vibrant it's almost like the guys are performing right in front of you.

Best Album of 2007...........and 2005 and 2006 too
Yeah, I know, it's only April but I'm just going to go ahead and crown this the best album of 2007.....I just don't see ANYONE topping this one for a while. Every now and then you'll come across a band/CD that just makes you sit up and go "Wow, I thought music like that was a thing of the past". Absolutely great sound, wonderful lyrics, clever writing........and yeah, it rocks. Good job guys. Best of luck and come up I-77 to West "by god" Virginia when you get a chance.

Swampdawamp Rocks Big Time!
I love this CD, as I knew I would. I've been listening everyday! Would love to see these guys LIVE.
Thanks for getting it out to me so fast and in such a humorous manner! I've passed the name "CD Baby" onto a lot of my friends.
