ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Swappin' Spit originally started out as an idea for a 7" record in November of 2009, slowly progressing and almost turning into a full album. The concept was simple, two bands on Farmageddon Records covering each others material to see what a new spin on it would sound like, and it worked out great. Gary Lindsey of Black Eyed Vermillion too the idea and ran with it, covering four of The Goddamn Gallows songs. The GDG's answered back with four songs as well. The Goddamn Gallows songs were recorded in Andy Gibson's Studio in Nashville, TN. Black Eyed Vermillion recorded their songs at Million Dollar Sound Studios in Austin, TX. After the original eight tracks were recorded a decision was proposed by Darren D, owner of Farmageddon Records, to include a bonus track where everyone got involved, so the two bands did a cover of Venom's "In Leagie With Satan" and even brought Farmageddon Records recording artist "James Hunnicutt" into the mix. James went into a friends studio in the Seattle area, and layed down his vocals and guitar parts for the song. The album was mastered by Kurtis Machler, at Million Dollar Sound Studios in Austin TX. This is the first time this vinyl only release has been available for digital download.
