Sway Resistor are a roots-rock collaborative based in Melbourne, Australia. Songwriter & guitarist Mark Landmann, and drummer Cam Jones, are the creative forces behind the project.
These songs emerged from regular jams in a wood-heated basement. Landmann's writing is brought to life by vocalists Jason Vorherr, Catherine Ogilvy & Annie Remsnik - the latter two of whom also wrote lyrics -and extra instrumentation came from some of Melbourne's best roots-rock talent, including Shannon Bourne, Steve Hesketh & Ray Flegg. Stirling Bowen also contributed three pivotal, gorgeous instrumental reflections.
The result is an album of music with depth, heart, soul... and plenty of guitars. We hope you enjoy it.
This album is dedicated to all the beautiful unrecorded voices out there - to transmissions between wired islands - to every artist disguised as a 9 to 5 grinder...
