The band was originally formed by the singer-bass player Jean Van Lint and the saxophone player Vincent Mardens. Their common passion for swinging music of the fifties and the sixties marked by artists like Oscar Peterson, Frank Sinatra, Cannonball Adderley, Count Basie, etc., led them to form the band “Swing Dealers”. As the name of the band indicates, 'swing' is at the basis of the band's music.
Through time, “Swing Dealers” emerged to become a real 'live band' performing on many places in many countries. They also made several live-appearances on television.
They developed an own identity and a particular sound characterised by the combination of voice and saxophone. The repertoire of the band embraces several styles going from pure swing to more soulful and contemporary sounds. It includes existing 'standards' as well as original compositions and it offers a mix of instrumental and vocal songs.
A live concert of the “Swing Dealers” is a moment of joy that the band shares with its audience.
