Album Notes
The Bottom Line is Money. I need you to buy this CD so I can accumulate more money. The more money I have the more elaborate recordings I can make for those who enjoy what I do already. It's simple. All I'm asking for is basically one day's allowance of your lunch money. The return will be another amusing recording you can keep playing in the background while you do your taxes. Honest. I won't let you down. Ask songwriter Marci Geller, she'll tell ya. She's even singing lead on one of the songs on this here CD, check out "Same Now More Or Less".

If you like montages/ musical collages this is the CD for you. And it sounds great in headphones or in the Jones Beach under pass.

This CD was originally entitled Thermoil Chapter 5.

One listen won’t do.
Probably some of the most dense collection of montages in the John Tabacco canon. This CD is almost like crawling into Tabacco's mind, slicing through the mundane daily interruptions he has to go through in order to produce music. Certainly his distaste for our money driven society has been well documented in other discs but this one takes the cake! But while the content may be a bit heavy handed, Tabacco never forgets about the music. Here he is joined by super session guitarist Teddy Kumpel on the funky rocker (JTTK's Bottom Line) and even showcases singer songwriter Marci Geller on the biting political (Same Now More Or Less). There is even a rare live recording of the Gearhead Freaks' classic (Keeps On Turning) who's blunt philosophy is: The world don't care, it just keeps on turning... But I think it's the last tune that is the clincher. It's a beautiful, melancholy, Beatlesque waltz of sheer honesty and depression. Clearly deep down Tabacco is not a happy camper with our life's inevitable conclusion. And that's the bottom line.
