In the 20th Century, most of the Mennonite churches in the United States and Canada have sung hymns four-part and acappella. Whether Mennonites sang chorales or Gospels songs, they achieved a rich tapestry of choral sound and made it a signature element of their worship and fellowship.
The Table Singers, directed by Glenn Lehman, have previously recorded five albums of hymns celebrating this vibrant singing style. Singers from five eastern Pennsylvania counties make up the members of this group.
Glenn Lehman founded the Table Singers in 1987. He earned a master's degree in music rom Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey. He is the author of You Can Lead Singing (Good Books, 1996) and the Executive Director of Harmonies Workshop.
