ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With this LP release, Taho delivers 10 wonderful tracks on CD and 6 on the vinyl. Here we find all his remixes made in 2003 for Thinner, Adrenogroov and Lumina including unreleased exclusivities.
Taho takes the ideas and structures contained in the original form of these track and develops them into his own conceptual and elegant vision. From spacey Electronica to lush, exotic Deep-House and a hint of groovy Techno, he proposes here a journey, tinted all along by awesome colored pads, warm atmospheres and deep, pulsing grooves. This release is very much build like a personal album and is, as usual with Taho, a cosmic trek reaching to the far reaches of our consciousness, thus taking us to outer planes.

Who is TAHO?

- (1987) His first attempts in the composition field go up at the age of eleven. He discovers thanks to his first computer, the enormous potential of the machines in sound creation. The music very quickly becomes a devouring passion and he "sticks" on the sound of the old Acid House. After tampering four years with synthesisers and magnetos, he invests in his own home studio.

- (1993) Being 17 years old, he performs his first productions live for the first rave of the well known Château of Keriolet in Brittany. Already looking for a publishing deal, he draws the attention of Eric Morand & Laurent Garnier. A year later, he signs with F Communication. His first EP « Vertige» is released in 95.

- (1998) After a 3 years collaboration with F com. Taho decided to create Lumina (www.lumina.ws), a label attempting a visual exploration of sound. As a producer and a graphic designer, he surrounds himself with innovative artists and creates releases based on new aera concepts.

Influences:

Bathed in a musical Univers since he's a child, rocked by some Vangélis while passing by some Miles Davis, his music has been for long time influenced by the sound of Mad Mike, basic Channel, the Orb, or the song «Acid eiffel » by Ludovic Navarre, Shazz and Laurent Garnier.
His influences widened daily across some music like Reggae (Mad professor, Peter Tosh, Lee Perry...), the latino music (Suzana Baca, Bebel Gilberto), world music...

Classical and ambient music (Steve Roach, Vir Unis, Vidna Obmana, Gioari) are the main references for the harmonics compositions of Taho. The German music of Maurizio, with his subliminal melodies, inspire a lot the weave background of his compositions.

LUMINA
Lumina is primarily a record label. However, today it is far more than a record label. Indeed, besides the conventional recording activity, Lumina's artistic motto is "to provide a visual and sensual experience to its audience through a simultaneous performance of music, video clips, projections and exhibitions".
The adventure begins in 1997, when Taho, Lumina's founding member, decided to go for the independent route after two successful mini albums released on the famous French record label F-COM. Through his music, Taho pictures imaginary worlds, where "elegant futurism", utopia and mysteries all have their share of the scenario. Indeed, his music is conceived like a visual and imaginary poetry.
Lumina is continuously growing with the arrival of artists, painters, photographs, DJs. They all share the same vision: to experiment, create and provide a total sensitive immersion.

smashing remixes - a new techno sound
Taho, founder and leader of Lumina Records once again proves he's got the Golden Touch , transforming any kind of original work from the likes of his label's mates Masse/Mémoire , Kage, Phil Stumpf, or people from the excellent online record label Thinner, into some magical soundscapes, pulsating grooves and chord progressions as only he has the secret.
gorgeous !

A journey into deep grooves and warm atmospheres !
A masterpiece where deep electro sounds meet groovy rythms and warm atmospheres. I don't know all the original versions but you can tell there is a genuine harmony and unity in these remixes. Equally suited to relax or to dance.
Highly recommended !

c'est magnifique!
damn, this is a masterpiece!
really really great cd, nice to listen to from the beginning to the end- in various situations- to dream to, to drive to, to drink to, to have sex to... like wow.

AT LAST, TAHO'S STUNNING REMIX ALBUM COMES OUT AND IT'S A DIVINE SELECTION OF PURE, WARM, LUSHLY PRODUCED TECHNO SOUNDS. I FORGET EXACTLY WHICH ARTISTS ARE BEING MIXED BUT YOU GET A SUPERBLY DETROIT EDGED SOUND WITH MELODIC PADS AND CHORDS AND MID PACED 4/4 BEATS. IF YOU'RE INTO HEADSPACE, DOWNLOW OR GENERALLY LOVELY TECHNO, THIS IS FOR YOU!

This is a superb collection of tracks remixed by Sub Static / Adrenogroov artist Taho, one of the most underrated yet incredibly talented producers of melodic, beautiful grooving techno. This ep features cuts from Fabrice Lig, DJ Kage, Masse/Memoire & more all reworked by Taho with that delightful deep lush touch that have made him a favorite of Carl Craig and Aril Brikha.

THIS IS A SUPER COLLECTION OF TRACKS REMIXED BY TAHO
THIS IS A SUPER COLLECTION OF TRACKS REMIXED BY TAHO - ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED BUT TOTALLY TALENTED PRODUCERS OF MELODIC, BEAUTIFUL, YET GROOVING TECHNO AROUND. THIS TAKES UTS BY BLAMSTRAIN, MASSE/MEMOIRE, FABRICE LIG, KAGE, SIMEX AND MORE AND PUTS TOGETHER TAHO'S LUSH REWORKINGS OF EACH OF THEM. DEEP TEXTURES, SUBBY BASSLINES, INTIRCATE 4/4 STRUCTURES AND SUCH DELIGHTFUL USES OF MELODY IT'S HARD NOT TO LOVE THIS SOUND. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE INTO DETROIT TECHNO OR, EVEN, THE DEEPER GERMAN SOUNDS. BRILLIANT STUFF.

Elegant like no other producer
10 remixes and some bonus tracks that Taho produced over the past year for such different labels as Thinner, Adrenogroov and Lumina. Whoever likes this sort of sound - and that´s anyone who likes quiet detroit tracks - will have to get this record which will also be released on vinyl (with 4 tracks less) because so far there´s never been a record with so much Taho-sound at once. Endless smooth and quiet sounds, elegant like no other producer and still with that dancefloor kick that doesn´t let the tracks drift into pure ambience.

ONLY FOR DJ'S

On vous recommande particulièrement ‘Duck Dub’ *, le très Detroit ‘Under The Ocean’, ‘The Days Of Two’ de Kage... Voilà en tout cas une des figures sûres de la scène techno française.
