Born in a very small Georgia Town, TammRae grew up with a love for music and song. Singing from a very young age, she was inspired by all kinds of music. She didn’t even know she was “country” although it was evident to everyone who heard her. When her family moved to Chattanooga Tennessee, she was introduced to new music through Go-Rock-Co-Pop Records where she sang, wrote and played under the supervision of a whole host of fellow music lovers. Growing up in a recording studio, working with singers, musicians and songwriters was a dream come true for TammRae, in fact she never dreamed she would get to live her whole life surrounded by music and others who loved it as much as she.
In the past few years TammRae has recorded Country Gospel, and Traditional Country songs written mostly by her husband Billy Joe Keener and herself. She has shared her songs with many folks in the South Eastern part of the USA. In 2009 she was voted Female Vocalist of the year at the North West Georgia Gospel Music Fan Awards. Not really seeking awards but just the chance to share their music and songs Billy Joe and TammRae decided to share their music with the whole world in 2012. A new release of two original country songs is planned for Spring 2012 as well as a new Traditional Country CD Album project.
Now living in a small country town in Tennessee called Palmer, TammRae sings every Saturday at a local restaurant, helps her husband with their own songwriting and recording studio, hosts their web show called “Expect Great Things” on BCC Broadcast TV and enjoys real country living. Assisted and encouraged by her dad and mom, Tom and Lora Basham, who work right along side them, TammRae and Bill look forward to the release of their new project. Listen for their two new Country singles in April 2012.
