" I create with music the same way I create with any medium taking bits and pieces from all genres mediums and cultures to create a new sound, picture or experience. i am driving the growth of a new genre and paradigm in music through the release of the album Escape Velocity (3scap3 V3loc!ty). My music is the rebirth of Electro -Hip-Hop taking inspirations from Africa Bambatta and the Soul Sonic Force and lyricists like krs-one and Nas to Create something Different and a sound that has yet to be heard on a global scale. i believe that innovation is the key to longevity and leaving a mark on the art form and Culture of Hip- Hop and Electronic music in general."- Tapia-7AP!A

Excerpt from the Hiphopfrathouse.com article Music is Science and Tapia is the Professor:
Tapia's inspirations to record music came from growing up emerged in hip-hop culture. Most of the male father figures that he had were not around that much. Graffiti and break-dancing lived in Tapia from an early age and he has the stats to prove it. He uses Hip Hop to spread positivity. As part of Tapia’s Homecoming back to Providence, Rhode Island, the U.S. veteran was the Grand Marshall. He noted that Puerto Ricans have the highest percentage of purple hearts in the military.
Tapia’s, description of how life lives through music crosses the boundaries of spirituality and reality. After his cousin was murdered and most of his people were doing Federal bids, he took it as a promise to himself and to his cousin to believe in the talent that one has in oppose to just doing things to chase money. He went on to say, “ if you do things you’re suppose to do with you talent, money’s gonna always come.”
In middle and high school, Tapia was the best break-dancer in his city. He’s performed with his groups from casino’s, to commercials and even for Disney. At 17, he gave up that profession to become more financially stable for his first child. Tapia was in Iraq twice. He scored the highest score possible to gain any position he wanted in the military. At the end of the day he was stuck doing something he wasn’t supposed to do. He ended up front line and was not suppose to be front line. Seeing life and death made him decide music is what he was going to do. Dance and rap is his outlet; it’s part of his nature.
Tapia takes on the responsibility to tell the world what he understands and this can all be heard in his music. His lyrics are the basis of world culture. His mindset is trained to teach and help others grow with knowledge that he has gained from all over the world. He said’ “you can create anything with your mind with the will to learn.” In a major way, Tapia is creating from his environment to create a new world.
So if you want to take that spaceship make sure you listen to the electronica/ hip-hop track “Neon Lights.” Tapia is not your average emcee. Tapia has also filmed, directed and produced a full season of the RI Community Access Show Neo Intellect TV featuring various Latin artists.
