ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When a star rises in the sky, wise men follow it.
Todd Taylor's star rose years ago, and those who love a great banjo playing, have been following him since. Todd is a special person, inside and out with a special place in his fans and friends' hearts. Bluegrass, Country and Rock fans adore his work. His instrument is the banjo and his instrument, now, is not only part of his skill and talent but a part of his soul. His latest offering is Diversity. When you look in the dictionary at Merriam- Websters you will find that "Diversity" is defined as :
1 : the condition of being diverse : variety; especially : the inclusion of diverse people (as people of different races or cultures) in a group or organization 2 : an instance of being diverse
While the banjo's origin has diversified and thoughtful writings on its origins - the music of Todd Taylor is the same.
It is devertisifed. There is no defining it conclusively as one would try to definie a special recipe or sound. From a standard tune or one of his own arrangements and creations, you think you know where he's headed wtih a song, and he abruptly surprises you and takes you to different place. I highly would recommend his music and work to anyone who has a love the for the banjo. His is a remarkable man who has lead the most blessed and interesting life, a dear friend, and holds the standard so high for banjo picking and entertainment - few can reach that bar. I am thankful to be his friend and highly honored that he would ask that I would write a little piece for his latest project and I hope to get to meet him one day and shake his hand.. His music is superb. Listen to my friend's latest offering, you want be disappointed, you will want to own this one and you can thank me later, it must be experienced because it will be enjoyed.
Ladies, and gentleman, music & bluegrass aficionados,
I present to you, my dear friend, and one of the best new projects that will ever come out featuring banjo:
Todd Taylor and Diversity

Todd Taylor has done the near impossible
Todd Taylor has done the near impossible. Hes made a living playing the banjo!!! the happiest instrument in the world that is typecast as a novelty and Todd has resurrected it to popluar musical instrumet status. I think its clear hes a great musician but what seperates him from the cast of fellow round bodied pickers is his drive. The man is dedicated, and no one appreciated that more than me...
