Album Notes
There are many sterile left-brained record label terms designed to catagorize the intellectual music which many people always liked the most: Art-Rock, Space-Rock, Techno-Rock, College-Rock, Modern Rock, Avant-Garde, Thinking Man's Metal, Neo-Classical, etc. There is a link, a common denominator and higher authority to which all of these sub-genres belong: Progressive Rock.

Progressive music fans have always liked timeless and complex music that has an amazing range of moods attached to it and are huge fans of experimentation, changes in instrumentation and style, musical virtuosity and music pieces as long or as short as needed to convey what the song or artist needs to convey.

The preference is more of a listening experience than a dancing experience and progressive fans tend to prefer melodic arrangements to the nature of percussive pop music. Preferring freedom of musical expression through artistic idealism and abstract concepts portrayed in music.

Being a fan of "Progressive" rock and also because I love it so much, I decided to become a musician many moons ago, creating music of my own, finding there is many things to yet be explored in the realm of "Prog." Fortunately in this day and age, one can do music on their own without anyone's pontificating blessing, achieving incredible results in the realm of the home studio all while exploring musical possibilities which would have been previously limited and controlled by many record labels, engineers fellow band members, and even society.

The songs I always liked best when working with various bands in the past were the conceptual ones. The bands I always liked best were the ones where quality was more important than appearance. The people I have enjoyed knowing the most are the ones where thinking is not a chore. My music is the sum total of my thoughts and experiences. If you are finding what I am saying to make sense then I urge you to just give Temporary Power a listen.

Science fiction and progressive rock and the paranormal are quite compatible in my world and the three are joined together to form my musical story.

Check out Temporary Power
Guitarist/sonic renegade MIKE WARD's project. If you ever wondered how far a guitarist could push the instrument, you should check TEMPORARY POWER out!

Temporary Power is relaxing and exhilarating
Mike's CD is both relaxing and exhilarating. After a long day at work, I love to listen to the CD on my 45-minute drive home, especially on a stressful day. The music sooths me, but peppy enough that it does not put me to sleep.

Beautiful...really beautiful.
I have a confession to make as part of my 12 step program...I found after a night of swift debatchery (I am afraid I fell off the wagon again), my vertiginous sensations seemed to disappear and I quite simply sobered up. Now for a round of sober golf for a change, thank you! By the way, just for the record, I never drink before surgery.

Temporal Mediums is ground-breaking sound cranking music......
I love this music....t is well thought out songs and instrumental images. Even if there is one CD you buy for this whole year....let it be Temporal Mediums!

Well there is music and there is crap...no in between.
As far as guitar-based instrumental progressive rock music goes, it doesn’t get much better than Temporal Mediums. Conceived of and created by guitar wizard Mike Ward, Temporal Mediums is a work of pure guitar genius. Throughout the album, Mike demonstrates his creative expertise on a number of instruments ranging from electric guitar, acoustic guitar, guitar synth, bass and keyboards. It is here for the lover of great guitar music...from rock to progressive influenced rock-fusion, Temporary Power is a mind-blowing musical statement from a guitarist who obviously deserves our admiration and attention.

Oscar Wheater

Ancient and prophetic in nature.
So many artists are not appreciated while they are alive. So many people who are different and special are ignored and the prophetic somehow becomes the profane. In my case I write the review for Temporal Mediums so this will not happen and people will give care to listen.

Mike Ward is a mastermind with strings
Mike Ward is one of the best musicians I have ever met and his music and ideas have influenced me. Temporal Mediums is a great album. Purchase it and you will not be disapointed...

Temporary Power is a good music project worth a listen.
If your cup of tea is lovingly crafted guitar music you should give Temporal Mediums a listen. Mike has been a dedicated part of the South Florida music scene for over 13 years in bands like Profacy, Barabbas Conspiracy and Centurion 6. If you loved his guitar work in those bands you will really love what he has done with his solo projects. He has come into his own unique style with Temporary Power which offers a fresh approach to guitar music much like a lighthouse beacon in the darkness of lifeless and emotionless product.

An incredible trip into the deep recesses of the imagination!
This album takes Progressive rock to a whole new dimention. The music brings new ideas and life to an all around great style of music..... A definate must have for your music collection

Vernon Jackson

Meditative and powerful.
I think this music has found the balance between hard and mellow. It goes each direction really well and it seems to be created with deep thought and care. Progressive rock fans will love this CD. I have found how important it is to support indie artists...if we don't..who will? As long as we care we will never tell artists like this to go away.
