ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With Temporary Power you will find always about the music, not so much stupid crap and egotistical silliness in the music industry....everything is about the music...

As a community of modern day composers and musicians, we invent. Sometimes we unfortunately re-invent the wheel instead of improving upon what comprises the wheel.

Apathy can set in with thoughts like "It has all been done" and "There is nothing new under the sun." At times I unfortuately think this way, but with meditation I start to see again and then disagree with this mind set.

I think the only way we can truly do new and interesting musical material is to first be true to ourselves. This goes against what many record labels and pop music culture establish as the norm. I suggest there are no two people exactly the same and there are no two pets or plants exactly the same, either. Even though twins are closely related, they are still different and unique, thus our music should not be all the same over and over again.

We are all very important to the grand stage of life. Billions unique people and we should celebrate the differences in each other and also celebrate the differences in music diversity.

So the underlying theme of this recording is that there is an order to things here in our universe...a Sacred Geometry, if you will. Join me in my musical quest for this higher purpose.

I think music is one of the keys to higher communication. Mozart said music touches us in ways nothing else can. I do try to send through my sound that all we have is one another. We should be very tired of all the stupid wars fought because of the silly mess about putting other people down which all starts with a very unethical belief.

I have brought peace in my life by using my ears and knowing the freedom and enjoyment that comes from my musical evolution.

So do you think music is inherently higher communication?

One of my deepest life goals is to make music that matters. I want to listen and and be completely here and pay attention to life, because as I observe it, every problem the world has can be resolved.

Sacred Geometry is a masterpeice!
This is no doubt a very choice offering after years of perfoming and recording in South Florida's music scene from Temporary Power. Guitarist/songwriter, Mike Ward enters deeply into the vast universe of intelligent well crafted rock music. Temporary Power has been a beacon of light for fans and fellow musicians in the indie community for years and now moves into a definitive song writing direction of sonic imaging. This is thought provoking, high quality audiophile, spacial recording. It is simply put, simply phenominal. This high tech recording compliments the song writing ability of a musical genius.

Man...this is one great CD.
I was hoping to find something good and different guitar wise for a change...and boy did I found it here. I only have one thing left to say-I am going to try out the other Temporary Power CDs now.

I appreciate Mike and his music so much.
I have been a guitar student of Mike's for over a year now and I have gone from not even knowing how to tune the thing to writing some nice songs. I have Mike to thank for this and I hope you buy this music from a man who knows music well enough to patiently teach me how to play.

This is a powerful CD.
Sometimes you find music that really touches your soul...and the sometime is now. I think this is very powerful music. I just want to hear more and more. To me, it sounds like a really cool dream. I wake up to track 6 and it puts me in a great mood in the morning.

I keep my ears open to underground music and this CD beyond words.

This may be the best Temporary Power release to date
An interesting title without a doubt, for whenever a Temporary Power album is released it makes one turn introspecively to our own limited existence in a strange way. While the first CD let loose in a guitar playing frenzy, it’s really this new one that reveals just how far Temporary Power has evolved. Mike Ward, of course goes back all the way to the dawn of the early 80's instrumental prog-rock scene with his guitar playing all the while cutting his teeth throught the 80's and 90's in the South Florida music scene. In the spirit of the 1999 classic, "an experimental guitar demo" there is a phenomenal union of avant-gard rock and crafty fusion that words just will not describe. But again on "Sacred Geometry" Mike seems to come alive with some exquisite fretboard magic, while also recording the bass and keyboard tracks like a seasoned pro, furthering his ongoing commitment to quality. Here's some beautiful music, and the playing is on fire like always, all the instrumentation is featured very well. This is a compelling new CD from one of the most gifted independent musicians performing today. Temporary Power is fearless, timeless and classic instrumental rock.

The brainchild of Florida-based guitarist Mike Ward!
The brainchild of Florida-based guitarist Mike Ward, Sacred Geometry proves just how powerful a solo effort of experimental guitar could be. The closest example would be to compare the CD to the work of Nordic space guitarist Terje Rypdal. The whole album is quite a unique sounding effort and attempts to classify it as Space-rock, avant-garde or Neoclassical would be futile. Clearly falling into the Progressive rock realm, Sacred Geometry is at once breezy and meditative as well as enigmatic and challenging. Quite experimental as well, Sacred Geometry is a complex, strange affair that’s entertaining as well. A mainstay on the progressive rock and metal scene in South Florida for the past 15 years, Mike Ward is clearly on the right path with his Temporary Music projects.

Glad I got it...
Thought I was wasting my time at first because I didn't know what I was looking for. It nagged at me anyway and I tried out the samples. Had to buy it and I am glad I did. It isn't like anything I have ever heard. It is good. Real good. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Tad Klein

right mind/right music
Why is this kind of music driven so far underground by society?

Good 100 years or beyond.
This music is good now and it will be good 100 years from now, too.
