The Human Map of Existence

by Temporary Power

The stuff interesting guitar music is made of. Here are cool guitar sounds in a new rock genre. This is an album that has a story based soundtrack quality to it as it plays much like a high tech musical novel or conceptual CD.

Album Notes
"The Human Map of Existence" is a powerfully engineered brainchild of Mike Ward and his ongoing music project, Temporary Power.

This is an album which was not only soulfully done, but technical as well, with many various guitar sounds and effects, where upon careful listen you will discover layered and incredibly interesting mixing of tones which range from somthing you'd hear on the sci-fi channel to beautiful sounds carefully twisted into a distorted guitar heaven.

"There are songs about evolution and energy, and it is music for you to decide if there is anything more to it."

The Human Map of Existence, put quite simply, is a hosting of very, very elaborate guitar work and most unusual instrumental voicings.

Mike is a veteran guitarist who loves the complex sound arena, laboring to bring to life the inner musical visions that musical dreams are made of.

"As musicians we can set forth with the love and passion of sound alone and then all of a sudden we have a real place of refuge from many problems."

Mike goes on to explain more of the premise of the album, "We feel the familiar and explore the strange and difficult where music is a great forum to speculate about what is out there and feel the freedom to think and resonate back out to the universe."

Great albums are just that, a higher communication where tones convey emotions. "Also music has many fringe benefits like the rebellion of saying "no" and dissipating the run-away train of apathy and compliance."

This CD is indeed a digital dream, giving all it has to convey though tones many powerful emotions. "I want to say in the music that love is here and goodness and kindness are real, even if it is abstract." Inherent in the compositions are many of these non-verbal and abstract tonal communications.

The Human Map of Existence is a not only a well thought album, but a very thought provoking album as well. This is thinking man's music at its best.

I like playing Area 51 and listening to this music
Area 51 and this music gel together perfect.

Jacques Predeau

Fabulous and Bitchin'!
Listen to "Star Church" and you will swear it is Brian May. ROCK ON!

August Simmons

Good Effort.
So I am not like the fools at the Record plants. Disc Makers can kiss my ass. Mike knows me and showed me all kinds of cool shit on guitar. Mike KICKS ASS as a player. Go ahead and pass it over you dumb ass record label. I do not need lots of colors and shit all over the Cover because I like the punk approach where the music is what matters on the inside.

L. Parriseo

Crazy and cool like a 110 decibel tornado in your room!
Peel the paint with a good and loud listen. Fun and tripped out with a touch of noise and sound effects, space ships and fantasy.

kevin kaslin

not a bad cd
a good cd and sound overall and i am very picky.

Hank Veasti

I have never heard anything like it at all!!!
I have been playing and listening to music for over 40 years now and I have never heard anything quite like this! It is hard to be this good and original at the same time. Keep up the great music T. Power!!!

John Paul McDervitt

Damn good CD!
Good job on a good indie release. Other CDs are good too but this one seems to specialize in what the ultra modern sound hunter really wants.

Temporary Power is a MOB RULES guitar maniac pull out all stops rock machine!
I am so incredibly blown away by the Temporary Power catalogue. It is an very resonant and prolific guitar driven project. A fine example of the talent found in the world of guitar enthusiasts. I love how the newest CD has a defiantly minimalistic cover just begging folks to explore all the technical bells and whistles that lurks on the most musical of CDs released this year I have heard.

Got to hear more!
I want to hear more deep music like this. An opportunity to hear music not on the radio or TV is always welcomed. Thank you for making unusual themes. Highly cinematic. Moving.

Randy Patterson

Buy this CD. It doesn't suck!
Very, very good guitar music. Hard rocking and thoughtful Pink Floyd meets Rush at times. Sometimes music has a knack for sticking around with you in your brain all day. Can't take this CD out of my player!
