I decided to approach recording a tune at a time, without the pressure to realize a cohesive 74 minutes of music. The plan is to release a tune or two every month or so for digital download only. When enough material accumulates I may "see" an album concept and put it on cd as well.
In the mean time I am thoroughly enjoying the freedom of live studio sessions; no headphone mixes, no isolation rooms.
The first effort is a duet with Miles Schon, Neal's son. My nephew, Aaron Haggerty, took a break from drumming with Al McKay's Earth, Wind & Fire to put a rhythm section together for me; his buddy Ben Burleigh playing bass.
I am planning to include some singers, and different aggregations of musicians for this project.
And so, I call it the "Terry Haggerty Project". Check in often for new music.
