Album Notes
Helen Ellis (vocals / songwriting), Terry Bradford (acoustic guitar / songwriting) and Dale (Dixie) Ackland (chromatic harp) make up the multi award winning Adelaide based original music trio, the Texettes.

Celebrating their 9 year musical journey with the release of their 5th album, “The Lady and the Tramp”, the 16 original music tracks showcase the diversity of the Texettes music. Mike Parkes, (host of the weekly “Kicking Country” music programme on Adelaide’s 88.7 Coast FM) says that the Texettes music is “virtually impossible to pigeonhole… mellow, bluesy, pop, jazzy, country…..a whole heap of titles”.
In 2008 the Trio received accolades for songs from their 2008 release “Lost in Blue”, winning awards for the Best Band, Best Duet and Best Country Rock Band sections and also awards for vocals, songwriting and instrumentals at various South Australian country music festivals at Port Augusta, Barmera and Murraylands.
The Texettes lyrics are consistently described as being intelligent and heartfelt . Terry and Helen’s intertwining vocals have been described by the Adelaide Advertiser’s CD reviewer as “ an enjoyable local delicacy”. The Texettes love what they do and it shows!
