Album Notes
The Melbourne based 'Accidental Big Band' came about as a home-record project of a full big band, featuring the piece, 'The Stinger's Apprentice'. It all came together so well that by accident we realized we had a great big band track worth releasing. The piece itself was written for bassist Kim May (aka 'Stinger') and his apprentice, the composer's son Patrick. The work is often featured live with the iconic Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra, now in its 10th year of it's residency at Melbourne's, Apartment.

The personnel for the recording were:

Greg Clarkson: saxophones (engineering)
Roger Schmidli: Trombones (Composer)
Paddy McMullin: Trumpets
Kim May: Bass
Jack Pantazis: Guitar
Gerry Pantazis: drums

Recorded at Clarkson Home Studio, August 2012
