About the Band:
Musical visionaries Stefanie August and Michael Husser comprise "The A.H. Factor" (formerly the A.H. Principal), an “Old-School” musical duo performing the best of the Great American Songbook, Blues, Country, Pop, Classic Rock and Original repertoire.
Bassist Michael D. Husser has played with Little Richard, Elvin Bishop, Harvey Mandel, Buffy Sainte-Marie, The Dirfters, The Coasters, The Shirelles, Norton Buffalo, Nick Gravenites, Barry Goldberg and other artists.
Michael has been playing electric bass since 1964 and still uses his Jazz Fender aptly named “Old Man” who is 48 years young! Michael plays with a style and confidence that are all his own; creating unique riffs and melodic structures not usually applied when playing electric bass. His rich Irish-Tenor singing voice can cover a range of styles from Blues to Country to Great American Swing.
A consummate performer and musician dedicated to his craft and helping other musicians achieve their personal best, Michael is a tour de force on and off stage!
Stefanie August is a gifted vocalist, pianist and song-writer. Her sultry three-octave vocal range and tasteful piano styling add depth and imagination to her varied and wide repertoire.
Stefanie began her professional performance career in 1980 when she became the cocktail hour vocalist at famed Jazz room, Gregory’s, in NYC. She was also a protégée of Jan Wallman, a well-known Jazz club operator and raconteur who was influential in developing the careers of Barbara Streisand and Joel Grey in her NYC venue Jan Wallman’s Cafe. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport, CT, Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Music cum laude.
Stefanie has worked extensively in music venues around the country. Her collaboration with Michael is a pinnacle in an exciting musical career.
