ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Alan Chan Jazz Orchestra has emerged, since its formation in 2011, as one of the brightest lights on the Los Angeles jazz scene. Last year, Chan gathered a group of topnotch studio and jazz players—19 pieces in all, plus guest trumpeter Wayne Bergeron—and produced a two-day session. "Shrimp Tale" is ACJO's debut album, released by Crown Heights Audio Network.

Reviews:
“Inspired and inspiring, Alan Chan digs deep within himself to create music that transcends traditional genre and the self imposed limitations thrust upon artists by the music industry and critics alike.”
“Alan Chan is on the cutting edge of greatness!” – Brent Black

"Shrimp Tale," an irresistible theme set to a saucy salsa beat, not only ushers in the high-flying trumpet of guest soloist Wayne Bergeron but affirms Chan's status as a world-class composer / arranger who employs effectively every voice at his disposal…”
“He has produced an album that should gladden almost anyone's taste.” – Jack Bowers

“The Alan Chan Jazz Orchestra is a well-oiled machine, and one that moves and acts like no other.” – Dan Bilawsky
