Album Notes
Antonie Swain is a New Artist from the city of Atlanta,GA on the SlowTrain Records and Productions Label (Indie). He is a trombone player with a strong swing and bebop style of play. School Daze Live is Antonie’s debate album and promises to please listeners of all ages. School Daze Live is a collection of tunes that symbolizes life experiences, peoples ,and emotions that I (Antonie) have experienced in the struggle/pursuit to live life as I see fit; to live, teach, love, and share music with those from different ethnic and cultural regions. Each tune on the album has its own sound and vibe. The musicians involved lock into the grooves and evoked a hard swinging sound, creating a vibe that will speak to the listens heart and mind. They all give a hype and refreshing contribution to jazz while performing these classic American standards. Antonie Swain's trombone playing is lyrical, soulful and virtuosic. He brings the notes to life by painting on the can-vise of the tune as a painter would paint on a blank can-vise creating a artistic master piece. Tyron Jackson the Justin Varnes lead the rhythm section in and out of the hard grooves and turns with effortless mastery, while Antonie Swain makes is very bold statement in his contribution that is sure to catch the listeners ear as he continues the tradition of great trombonist and great trombone playing. Deshawn Harper holds down the bass along with Mr. Santa on the conga's and cow bell creating a rhythmic conversation not to be missed.
