ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When it came time to record,we knew we wanted to fully immerse ourselves in the process,it had been a while since either of us had been in a studio and we had not recorded together before. After talking to many people in the Santa Cruz scene and checking out all of our options we settled on The Compound recording studio up in Felton CA,we liked the idea of being able to disappear into the mountains so we could be secluded from our day to day lives even tho Felton is only eight or nine miles from our respective homes, on the same note we booked a room at the famous Brookdale Inn. The Brookdale has a long and colorful history from Mafia hideaway in the 20's to numerous stories of ghost sightings,It has also served as an out the the way venue for many of bands passing through the coast on tour.We recorded the bulk of these tracks over four days and feel that we captured the overall feel of our mountain bandcation, while the stay at the motel did not deliver any sight of ghosts the feel of Its history, creepy surroundings (half the place had burned down a year earlier and still empty) and mountain tweekers, certainly set the tone and mood for the work to be done during the day. Enjoy
