ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'Sunshine Revolution' is the latest album from the Blue Planet Sound. Partly a backward glance at some of the high spots from the previous four albums & partly a glimpse forward to as yet unreleased material, 'Sunshine Revolution' is also an album in its own right.

The eleven tracks tell a story, guide us through the Blue Planet Soundscape - from intimate bossa classics like 'Meditation' or 'Ainda mais lindo' to the BPS's offbeat interpretations of jazz and rare groove standards 'Everybody loves the Sunshine' & 'Night & Day' to the duo's own cinematic compositions like 'the New Pleasure Seekers' or 'Floating Clear'.

Spanning some 14 years of recording, the tracks here are drawn largely from previous BPS albums but, in each case, have been re-crafted from the original tapes and reinvented for this album. What you have then here is a jewel reflecting the many facets of a musical journey while remaining & sounding deeply contemporary.

Close your eyes and bask in the sunlight. This is it.
