“The Brain Washing Machine” is a heavy rock band from Padua (Italy). It was formed in 2005 by Baldo (vox), Bon (drum), Muten (guitar) and Berto (bass). In 2006 the band started an intense live activity: they performed in more than 70 different gigs around Italy, and played as support band for many popular artists such as "The Quill","Exilia", "Di Maggio Connection", "Airway",Karma to Burn and OJM. Their first EP was positively acclaimed by many webzines and magazines like “Metal Hammer”. The magazine “Metal Maniac” even described “The Brain Washing Machine” as one of the best italian rock/stoner bands of 2007. The EP has been broadcast on many Italian radio channels (Radio RAI, Radio Sherwood, Radio città Fujiko, Radio Gamma 5) and across several foreign countries (USA, UK, Australia, Netherlands,
Germany and France). In 2011 Stefano Ceroni quitted the band and Sidd became the new drummer. This has been a very creative year for each member: the band started performing again and it’s now releasing their first full length album.
“Seven Years Later” is the brand new full-length album of the band. It was recorded and mixed between October and November 2012 at “Hate Studio” (Rosà - VI - Italy) by Maurizio “Icio” Baggio and mastered in the USA by the sound
engineer Carl Saff (Carl Saff mastering - Chicago, Illinois - USA).
The album summarizes seven turbulent years of activity, in which the band has practised with three different drummers. What comes out is a mix of pure rock sound, influenced by the classic 70s hard rock, the desert rock and the 90s heavy rock and metal sound. “Seven Years Later” is characterized by a powerful, enraged sound. It represents the band’s first milestone but also a starting point for future works.
