ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"It sounds as if Brian Travis has stepped inside every truly broken heart, took measurements and turned it into sound." - Kender MacGowan.

"There From Here" was an experiment. For this second Brian Travis record I wanted to bring together the best players I had played with at the time to head into the studio without much rehearsal and without any solid musical arrangements for the songs I had written. I wanted to rehearse the songs on a live soundstage with them and then roll tape once the band and I started to 'gel'. We would spend 15-20 minutes learning a song and arrange it on the spot and then start cutting takes as soon as we started to get the tunes down. The songs I had been writing at the time ended up giving a home to longer running musical jams that were inspired and eloquent at times and full off raw energy at others. In the end I feel like we captured some moments that were uniquely special"
