BIOGRAPHICAL STUFF ON THE CEDAR:

The Cedar are based in Bristol and Bath in the South-West of England. This is where they meet up and play all sorts of instruments together for audiences like you. Sometimes they play in other parts of the world too. Apart from super music for smart people, they’re happy to provide audiences with biscuits, buttons, and useful facts.

A QUOTE (ON THE CEDAR):

"Utilising an assortment of instruments, from ukuleles to clarinets to glockenspiels, The Cedar are a quaint, intelligible group with a beautiful ear for melody. "

FAB - U - LOUS album! A piece of shimmering lyrical beauty! More please!

Charming, Quirky, Heartfelt, Unique Sound
Intriguing lyrics, a lead singer with a heartfelt delivery, understated but always interesting back-up, and a fine-tuned sense of acoustic textural variety, from twangy banjos to rain sticks and contemporary violin bowing, this is an album that you will play many, many times and still enjoy. The sound of The Cedar really grows on you. It falls short of 5 stars only for a slightly lower production value, although strangely, this is what gives it much of its indie charm. Excellent!

Best album of 2008.
An amazing, beautiful, intelligent album. Hasn't left my CD player since i got it. The Cedar are a band to be watched. And listened to. Over and over.
