Since Zocalo magazine first outed them as a band in July of 2011 (before they had played their first show), the Cordials have been inching their way into the Tucson music scene's ears and hearts. A regular Tucson supergroup, the band is comprised of members of Silver Thread Trio, Seashell Radio, the Modeens, and Saint Maybe, and manages to combine elements of rock, pop, surf, and country into a seamless blend of harmony and chaos.
In early 2011, Laura Kepner-Adney wrote four songs in four days. Over the next year, three people agreed to play them with her. With an expanded, collaborative set that ranges from surf to pop to soft, folky country, the Cordials have developed a broad draw in Tucson's music scene. Their debut album, 'Not Like Yesterday,' weaves across genres over the ten original tracks, with special guests Marco Rosano and Fen Ikner contributing their talents along the way.
The Cordials are Laura Kepner-Adney (Silver Thread Trio), Courtney Robbins (Seashell Radio), Cristina Williams (the Modeens), and Winston Watson (Greyhound Soul, Saint Maybe).
