by The C.R. Ecker Band

Considered an apolitical "Anthem for American Angst," Bushwacked song, which conveys the intent of the "Solidify Main Street" Vote Smart 2012 message, is a lament from those on-the-ropes, and of immense interest to all facing financial challenges.

Album Notes
In the Fall of 2011, there were rock songs from the extreme left, as evidenced by an “Occupy Wall Street” song on several music downloaders, and on the other end of the political spectrum, from ultra- conservative musicians expressing anger and rage. Now, "Bushwacked (Bewildered, Beat-up Bad and Broke)" which is the lead song of an album of the same name resonates amongst the millions who do not want to be swept into the current polarized American political torrent.

And that is why it is now available as a single as the theme song of an emerging "Solidify Main Street" campaign that has a sole purpose of encouraging American voters to 'Vote Smart' in 2012.

“I felt that the simply-stated country-styled Bushwacked song, also known as the “Jobless Song” and featured on the national website for people who have expended their unemployment benefits (wwwdot99ersdotnet), not to be confused with the 99% protesters, should have a presence beyond what can be purchased through over major digital music downloaders, such as cdBaby,” C.R. Ecker, the song's composer noted at the launch of a major merchandising effort.

“To me, the Solidify Main Street theme reflects a thoughtful way for people to show they care about what is wrong with this country without engaging in disrupting and sometimes violent protests, but through individual expression. Each would proclaim in this non-movement, non-third party approach, that what is needed is strong and focused leadership to be decided at various levels of government in the next elections. With 75% of Americans believing our country is heading in the wrong direction, and the popularity of Congress down to 9% as of late November, I believe that most mainstream Americans seek a meaningful, constructive change in direction.

"Also, I believe most thoughtful Americans are tired of watching some of the broadcast blabbocrats who receive money to daily pontificate their party’s rigid point-of- view and reading the columns of extreme political writers who are paid handsomely for their preachings. I am among those who despair at those leaders at opposite ends of the political wire yelling at each other openly in Congress, and the person calling members of the opposing party from the Oval Office 'our enemies.' And the polarity on Main Street is appalling watching citizens yelling and screaming at each other in cities big and small. Through the Bushwacked song, and the apparel, concerned Americans can make a reasonable public statement leading up to the time for a final decision, at the ballot box.”

So the man who leads the C.R. Ecker Band offers a theme, an identity and a consistent apolitical theme song for what he calls “independent-thinking individual Americans, many who are bushwacked, bewildered, beat-up bad and broke themselves, who believe in fixing our country, not tearing it down.” You are encouraged to listen, and buy!

Ten percent of net revenue from the single and Bushwacked album will go to The Wounded Warrior Project and D.E.L.T.A. animal rescue of Los Angeles. All Charles R. Ecker Music Publishing proceeds from the Solidify Main Street merchandise sold through a special httpslashwwwdotcafepressdotcomslashcharlesecker on-line retail store link also will go to these charities .
