"I Believe in You" is one of several written by C.R. Ecker to be sung especially by Susie Stevens, a long time vocalist in Hollywood films and television programs. She joins The C.R. Ecker Band for not only this song, but also "Heartless" and "A Bright Tomorrow."
Susie's voice is unique in many ways, rangng from her lyrical clarity to her emotional intepretations of the music line. When you hear Susie with us, or in any of the movie and T.V. projects she was been involved in, her signature sound is clear and true.
Susie has appeared on television, for example, in one of the most famous music signatures of all time, the three second I.D. for "The Simpsons" as part of a trio, among her many T.V. accomplishments, and most recently has sung in her melodic, evocative way in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and "World Trade Center."
"It was important," says Ecker , "that when we decided to go from being a male vocal-driven musical group from our Eagle Rock, Caifornia, base, that we strive to bring in the best female singer we could find in Los Angeles, the capital of world entertainment. We are very fortunate that Susie agreed to expand our horizons in such a wonderful way! And we hope you will agree."
Regarding the song itself, Ecker adds " 'I Believe in You' is much more than a straight-down-the-middle love song - warm, fuzzy and the like. Rather, when you listen closely to the lyrics, it is about a woman telling a man she has absolute trust in him. A woman like that is hard to find, but the woman who was the inspiration for this song and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 2012, so the song, as we, endures!"
