Album Notes
I don't even want to relate the story that preceded this song. But I was influenced quite a bit by blues and blue rock players.
This differs from a lot of rock music because I like to tie the bass and guitar riff together, but leave the drumming freer for fills, etc.
The sax sound is a leftover from some of the David Sanborn sounds used on some rock tracks in the 80's and 90's Thinking o Bowie's Young Americans.
Vocals are influenced by my lack of true vocal ability and Leon Russell. Also I owe a lot to all the stars who can't really sing to give me the courage to put my voice out there.
It's just a fun tune. It's just a song.
Some production notes: When i was trying to get the bass sounds where I wanted them on this, apparently it drove my upstairs neighbor crazy, as it sounded like he was doing jumping jacks and dropping boxes for awhile. I understand him, he works all night and tries to sleep in the daytime.
