ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This title of this song pays homage to John Cage, an experimental American composer I had the honor of seeing in the mid 70's (although I didn't think much of him at the time. Although there is only a small section of this piece, the piano dissonances, that remotely sounds like anything he ever did, I must say I have been influenced by the spirit of what he was doing. Indeterminancy. It also sounds like piano part in the song Catfood by King Crimson. The voices and applause are what happened during the Cage. People became uncomfortable with the music and began squirming and coughing and talking. At first I thought it was rudeness, then I came to see it was part of the piece. People were participating in the music.
The rest is a beat with as raw and simple of guitar as I could get. I did not want to overproduce this song. It's more about sounds and how they come together.
