“Driftwood the Musical” is a tuneful glimpse into the essence of Joe Boudreaux, a resident of the mythical Gulf Coast village, Stingaree Pass. Joe mows lawns, fields, and easements in and around Stingaree Pass. He loves his life, his family and his lawn mower, which is a souped up machine that gets plenty of attention. When Joe revs it up, the mower becomes his palette knife; he is ‘a landscape artist,’ and the world, or at least Stingaree Pass, his canvas. On this particular day Joe confronts an unpleasant memory but is able to reconcile the past and rediscover contentment by day’s end.
