"The Kids Would Go Wild!" comes from the eponymous title track on THE FABULOUS DUDES' debut album, with 14 exciting new original songs written and produced in 1950s and 1960s group-harmony (doo-wop) styles. Had they come out "at the right time," The Fabulous Dudes think these songs would have been hits. Never ones to give up the dream, we're extending the fun, excitement and beauty of that music into the present with authentic yet creative new tracks: lush ballads, rock & roll, even a little rockabilly. We DO make them like they used to, and invite you along for the ride!
Lead tracks include "The Fabulous Dudes" (a "story of the group" featuring lead vocals by Bobby Nelson), "Our Winter Love" (a shimmering crystal-cool ballad casting a Flamingos-style spell), "Bette Boom" (a touch of rockabilly), "Ding Dong Darling" (real street-corner rock & roll), "Rock Me to Sleep" (a true rock & roll lullaby) and "Bette Blue Moon (Slow)," a gorgeous ballad of love, questioning and yearning. BONUS TRACK: "Christmas Time Is Coming' is sure to become a new holiday perenniel in group-harmony circles - and perhaps even wider. If you think you've heard it all in group harmony, let THE FABULOUS DUDES show you how much morre good stuff there is to discover!
Early listener comments:
"It's a great album! 'The Fabulous Dudes' has great harmony; Bobby Nelson’s lead, 16 Candles tune and biographical lyrics all combine as a perfect match…super ending is a bonus! 'Our Winter Love' is haunting, beginning and throughout; and "Christmas Time..." iin every aspect is A-plus!!!"

"There are some excellent songs here. 'Our Winter Love' is fantastic. Two more good ones: 'Davilee' and 'A Boy Like Me.'
-- J. S., Connecticut
"I was taken with how well it was done--and how retro it is. You've got a huge ear for replication. Great job."
