The Blue Line - EP

by The Fluorescent Lines

They have a subtle dark tone that drifts in and out of their music while having a blues riff and rock vibe. This drives the sweet relaxing vocals of Alexis Quinn that brings home the message. TFL gives loud and quiet energy to those that listen closely.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Every once in a while a band comes along that uses old ideas in new ways to give people something to believe in. They do this by giving the music they make a new form of life. As a triple threat trio, The Fluorescent Lines are doing just that. The formation of the band, TFL, was created in October 2012. The Fluorescent Lines are working on their first EP and starting recording in January 2013. The Fluorescent Lines want to illuminate the truth.

The first thing that might come to mind when you hear the abbreviation TFL is The Flaming Lips. Likewise, they have a sound that takes on a new form of life as a triple threat trio. Their sound is alternative rock with pop overtones and melodic vocal lines, similar to bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Green Day. The soft edge of the vocals plays a nice counterpoint against the trashy drum punk rhythms, comparable to the band, The Black Keys. The Fluorescent Lines have a discrete raw quality that is haunting, with a nice blend of subtle verses and exploding choruses.

They have a subtle dark tone that drifts in and out of their music while having a blues riff and rock vibe. This drives the sweet relaxing vocals of Alexis Quinn that brings home the message. TFL gives loud and quiet energy to those that listen to the words and music. They have an appreciation for musical genres, and the messages they convey. The musical vibe heard in their songs lets the fans know that this is The Fluorescent Lines.
