Get Funky - EP

by The Good Thing

Funky and raw female bassist/vocalist/songwriter from D.C. brings some seriously nasty grooves; a badaass band with killin' horn arrangements; raunchy, emotional, angry, and even funny lyrics that speak to real life experiences, funky.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“The Good Thing” was formed by Kim Jade Fry on bass and vocals and is rounded out by one of the baddest musicians around, Charles Wright, on guitar and vocals. And on most nights, you will find the band performing with a three piece horn section, bringing an even higher energy to the band and helping to capture an authentic classic sound.

Kim Jade Fry - Lead vocals, bass
Charles Wright - Guitar - background vocals
Jon Modell - Drums
Elijah Balbed - Tenor
Norberto Mejicanos - Trumpet
Greg Boyer - trombone (and additional horn arrangements)

Originally from New York, Kim is now living in Washington D.C., where the funk is still alive and well.

Kim Jade Fry is a veteran of the Florida, New York and LA music scenes and has produced her own original material as well. She released an album in 2004 that is also available on CD baby. She has been playing professionally for years with many great musicians all over the country.
