ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Last Internationale is a NY band that is gaining international notoriety due to their explosive and invitingly unpredictable live performances. In the summer of 2013 they brought some of that energy into the studio while on tour in Europe. Recorded live on tape at Estudios sa da Bandeira in Porto, Portugal, this EP not only engenders the true spirit of rock and roll but also approaches the roots of blues in a unique, skillful, and stylized way.

Reviews:

"The Last Internationale are one of my favorites in the next wave of rebel rockers. They're raw and real and mix East Village rock sensibilities with Battleship Potemkin firepower" - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, SSSC, The Nightwatchman).

"New York's counterculture spirit lives on in The Last Internationale." -RJ Cubarrubia, Rolling Stone Magazine.

"The disbanding of the White Stripes early last year has paved the way for a new breed of potential heirs to the trademark, throwback garage rock that so ensconced itself into alternative western music culture of the early noughties. This EP certainly contains enough evidence that the band are capable of being part of any revival in a sound that particularly endeared itself to the UK, being notoriously affectionate for bands that display such honest, minimalistic authenticity, of which this group can certainly claim rights to." -Jamie Boyd, Live4ever.
