Album Notes
Introducing The Other Side – an instrumental progressive rock led by Composer/Keyboardist/Saxophonist Alan Mallery, who is also known for his work with the Jazz/Fusion group Zed. He has been maintained a long-term presence in the progressive rock community as a co-founder of the Colorado Art Rock Society and a contributor to the Gnosis project.

The Other Side explores progressive instrumental journeys that paint a sound canvas for the imagination. They take their cue from yesterday’s heroes such as Genesis and ELP, and filter their sound through modern production techniques and the sound of bands such as Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater.

The band proudly presents their debut recording entitled “A Higher Vantage Point.”

"It’s sure to put a smile on the face of any prog fan who enjoys a variety of classic keyboard sounds (and they’re seemingly all here). Highly listenable." – Mark Newman, Progression Magazine Issue 56.

"Certainly a contender for best keyboard prog album of 2008." [Kinesis]

"All in all a great debut album from a band to keep an eye on!" [ZNR]

"A Higher Vantage Point is a musical journey that you hope never ends. " - Scott Ward, Sea of Tranquility

"If you’re a fan of the bands mentioned, or enjoy the work of keyboardists such as Peter Bardens, I think A Higher Vantage Point will really appeal to your ears. It’s a truly enjoyable listen." {Jerry Lucky}
