ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Port Arthur Playboys CD was voted the "Best First CD" at the 2012 Le Cajun Awards. This CD has both traditional Cajun/French music and originals.
The Playboys play an upbeat style which will get your feet tapping, blood running, and looking for a dance floor. The Port Arthur Playboys formed in the spring of 2010. All the members want to express their sincere thanks to all the pioneers of Cajun music that came through the old Rodair Club in Port Arthur as well as the younger generations that are keeping this wonderful music and culture alive. And alive it is. Its always exciting to play a local house party and have someone walk up and request Pine Grove Blues, Kaplan Waltz or Bosco Stomp as they tell us that teir daddy played accordion and it was his favorite song. There is so much Cajun culture here in the "Golden Triangle" of Southeast Texas and the Port Arthur Playboys are proud to help in preserving it and passing it on.
