While hip hop may not traditionally be thought of as a game played by proper gentlemen, it's always nice to see that stereotype turned on its head. And by proper, we're not talking ascots and dickeys; we're talking respect: For the music, for the ladies, and for a higher level of consciousness. There's an ambition that runs through the 19 tracks on the sophomore release from this Atlanta crew, and their pursuit of perfection carries through to not only the music, but the lyrics and the message they convey. While some spiritual rappers get bogged down with misplaced idealism, these guys have their feet firmly planted, strapped with the realization that in the real world, things aren't so black and white. It makes for some great in-song discussions on love, life, and what it means to live right. And the beats? They're bangin'.
