The Royal Hounds are excited and proud to debut their new album “I’m in Love with a Zombie”.
Known for their high-energy approach to rockabilly music, The Royal Hounds successfully marry the raucous sounds of traditional rockabilly and honky-tonk with the quirky songwriting of Southern Culture of the Skids or Unknown Hinson, and throw in some Latin flair just for fun. This release features a cast of stellar musicians, including Scotty Hinds on lead vocals and upright bass, Brian Lee on guitar, and “Bramble” Scott Billingsley on drums, percussion, and vocals. The album features predominantly original songs with a couple of classics mixed in.
Doug Lauderdale, host of Rumble on WDVX, said this about the album: "Spin this disc as soon as you can, and feel the beat reach your feet in a Rockabilly revival festival fueled by string bending twang, and a bass-slapping riot...The Royal Hounds take it to the Roadhouse...this disc rocks!"
Brian Setzer‘s bassist and guitarist for Hillbilly Casino, Ronnie Crutcher says, “Great energy throughout. This band can also throw down during their live shows; this album reflects that.”
Rockabilly-online claimed you’ll “dance, bop, jive and swing around the room!”
With the release of I'm in Love with a Zombie, The Royal Hounds are using traditional sounds that built rock and roll to “push boundaries and get people dancing, rocking, and shakin' what their mama gave em”.
