These and the Other Guy

by These and the Other Guy

Someone described what we do as 'quirky and laconic rock'. Fair enough. We call it bluesy rock. It's all original material: electric blues to smoky ballads via reggae, rockabilly and more.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The album was recorded in London & York, UK. The mix was engineered (at The Chairworks Studios) by hugely experienced Simon Humphrey (The Clash, ABBA, Culture Club, Hot Chocolate, lots more) And it was mastered by Jon Astley (The Who, George Harrison, Jules Holland, Rolling Stones, lots more)

All proceeds from Where Did My Children Go (Track 7) are going to War Child. (In other words they'll get every penny of the single's sales and £1 (1 GBP) from every album sold.) War Child's a wonderful charity that supports vulnerable kids whose families, communities and schools have been torn apart by war. So please support them and check out their warchild.org.uk website

Making this album has been a labour of love (or obsession, or something) and we're proud of it. We've described it as 'bluesy rock' but that's not quite it. For example there are eastern hints in Time To Go; Put That Down is rockabilly.... But a bittersweet bluesyness runs through it. Or it's 'quirky and laconic rock' as someone said. We hope you like it.

And we hope you can come to see us in York UK. We'd love to hear from you: these-and@outlook.com
