Album Notes
The Twisters with Alice Violato blend different styles together and have forged a sound of their own, that recalls r'n'b which is also looking forward to other influences like jazz, funky and blues. In 2014 they released a new album “MusicOdyssey” which features all original songs, a blasting exposure of all the influences of the band, in which legends, tales of love and solitude are merged to genuine efforts of representing a new and creative sound.
‘No Ordinary Blues’ (June 2011) is the first recording since the blues singer Alice Violato entered the band in September 2010. Pleasantly acclaimed by many blues authorities in Italy, it provided a valuable account to access to some of the most important Blues Festival in Italy in 2011, such as Torrita Blues Festival (XXIII edition), Pordenone Blues Festival (XX edition), Trend & Blues (X edition), Delta Blues (XXV edition) and as well as other relevant shows throughout the peninsula. The album presents a renovated sound for the band, that since the last release “Blowing the Blues everywhere” in 2007, has now expressed self-confidence also in relaxed mood tracks and in soul filled standard blues.
