Album Notes
The Veer Magazine: For his latest 10 track album, keyboardist/composer Ty Marquis Smith delivers a fine display of instrumental jazz that harkens back to the sounds of the funky, smooth jazz of the 1970's and early 80's, The percussion and sounds of flutes, bass ,horns and other instruments are all done electronically via keyboards. Though out the Times Album, from "The Patriarch" and East Boogie" to "Prelude to Sex" and "It's Over," Smith keeps the listener's attention active with upbeat tempos, highly melodic keys, and creative arrangements. The atmospheric "Thinking About U" is a nice change of pace.
