ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This "Digital Version" of “Somewhere Outside” is a Re-master of the Original "Acetate" of the album that resurfaced in 2005. All of the restoration & re-mastering was done by "Ducks" singer Dave Bingham. There is No Other authorized version of this Album available on The Net, period! All of the tracks have been restored and re-mastered to match the sound of their original Sixties punch & crunch. "Wish You Would" & "Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore " have had additional instruments added. (as we would have done.............if we had had any say in the matter!)

"Somewhere Outside" was an album that just sort of fell together. There was no plan & no concept. We were really just making things up as we went along. As we wrote the songs, we recorded them. “Nothin’” was recorded June 5th/66 on my birthday and then “She Ain’t No Use To Me” & "Just In Case You Wonder" followed in late summer & fall. “Hey Mama” & “Ain’t Gonna Eat out My Heart Anymore” were recorded at the same time as the other “covers” that appear on the album. These tunes were our favourite songs from our stage repertoire. “Windy City” was a jam that we did for fun to close-off the session.
This release is dedicated to Roger Mayne, a most conspicuous progenitor of the Fuzz-Tone guitar! ( 1946 - 2005 ) R.I.P.
