ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A Festival For Christmas is a live-in-concert recording taken from the Christmas Atlanta Festival performed on Sunday, December 7, 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Candlelight, Carols, & Cathedral concert performed on Friday, December 12, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri. The William Baker Festival Singers are conducted by William O. Baker.

The William Baker Choral Foundation was formed in 1990 to support two Atlanta area ensembles, the then-new 125-voice Summer Singers of Atlanta and the William Baker Festival Singers that had been established in 1985.

In 1988, the Choral Foundation made Kansas City its national headquarters, and created the Kansas City ensemble of the William Baker Festival Singers.

Now the Choral Foundation supports twelve performing ensembles based in three states. These ensembles involve over 600 registrants each year. In addition to concert presentations, the Choral Foundation presents seminars, workshops and consulting services nationwide while also sponsoring Amber Waves Music Publishing.
