Album Notes
We sing like the Beatles and play like the Stones. Butterteeth Smile is their sixth (fourth studio) release since the band formed. The Willys still write fun, eclectic alternative power pop songs, it's just that they keep getting better and better at recording and playing them!
The Willys continue to entertain the good folks of Adams & York County Pennsylvania with favorite party time classics and fabulous songs that discernable music lovers are fascinated to hear and see performed live.
The band members have seen it all: opening for national/international acts like the Bacon Brothers and Blessid Union of Souls, large and small clubs, weddings, birthday parties, lounge music, commercial radio interview shows, street fairs and ringing in the New Year "whole town on the square" style. The Willys have been 98.5 The Peak's only 3 time Battle of the Bands finalist, three years in a row!
Willys music nows spans the globe with their recordings. There are tons of Willys lovers in England, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Africa, Iceland, Russia and perhaps in a town near you!
"Butterteeth Smile" was recorded at Noteworthy Studios out of Gettysburg, PA. Engineer Bob Ranalli worked closely with the band to ensure that the finest performance and recording techniques were implemented, without computer assisted technology....what you hear is what he got! Smashing vocal performances and harmonies, Vox AC30's turned to "11" and tender acoustic ballads with sentimental messages all tastefully sung and played.

The Songs:
Butterteeth-includes many lost old English sayings.
Brief Moment-it's getting better all the time.
Supertramp-inspired by the book "Into the Wild".
Keep It Simple-'nuff said.
Headlines-Oh those tabloid dailys.
The Man Who Mumbles-he really does walk this town.
Where the Children Don't Grow Up-touching yearning wishing.
Stacy-this towns famous girl.
Yuppie Bar-what?
You're Only One-and we're only five.
Fashion Slave-you? really?
Better By Now-get the headphones out, there's a ton of sounds packed into this one.
Where Is My Love?-coming to grips with a reality.
Song About Nothing-Yup.

Bill Serfass-vocals, guitars, other stuff
Neil Ecker-vocals, percussion, hooter
Dean Vaccher-bass
Bill Mitchell-vocals, guitars, other stuff
Dan Chase-keyboards
Bob Ranalli-guitar, other stuff
Rhonda Ranalli-vocals

Bill, Neil, Dean, Bill, and Dan all wish you a wonderful listening experience!

Charles Yates

I've listened to this CD several times. I don't think I've ever given a music review, but here goes, and I doubt it will be the normal stuff about the chords, tone, etc.
I listened to all the other CD's as well, and as I was told, this one sticks to me the most, and is the best yet. I find myself remembering snippets of songs now and then. The first few times they just float over you and I thought "this is nice". After a while I began to think about the words. There is a slow realization that the songs aren't just easy on the ear, they are sneaking in a message. "Senator has a baby, and nobody knows the name. Senator has a lover, and everyone knows the name" is just one of the ones that cmes to mind (Hope I got the words right, and if I don't, that I can come back and correct my mistakes). In many ways the songs are like good books or movies. Every time you listen, you hear something new. You'll notice what the words mean, or the way the instruments compliment the voice, or a certain shining moment where everything is just right.
This album/CD is one that I find myself going back to time and again.
